I purchased this for my daughter's 4th birthday. She absolutely loves it and I'm thrilled with the quality. The buttons are easy to use and the sound is quite good. It has even stood up to my 2 year old's battering. Would definately buy this again.

This was purchased for my granddaughter's birthday. She was so thrilled b/c mainly it was PINK! Hard to find in most stores! I liked it b/c I did my homework and all the sites rated this one very high. I'm trusting being a good brand (Sony) that it will live up to its name! So far~ so good! She's carries it all over the place outside & in (when using the batteries)- with her girlfriends! So it's easy for a 6 yr old to handle. It also is intuitive for her to understand the dials and what to do. It doesn't skip, and is balanced. If its a "hit" with a 6 yr old "very picky" lil gurl-- then its GOOD TO GO! [in my book!] She LOVES IT! I'm basing this on 6 weeks of "heavy" use - and counting!

Bought this product for my niece and she just absolutely loved it. She couldn't wait to play her cds and use the radio. The color was her favorite and the shape was easy for her to carry everwhere and the sound was so clear she was dancing away.

Bought this for our two-year old granddaughter so she'd quit demanding to use her five-year old brother's. She seems thrilled and loves to dance to it. The pink is so girlie, just like her! She's only had it a month, but her mother says it's great!

LOVE IT! Got it to replace the Disney princesses boombox/jewelry box that stopped reading CDs after a month. Thought my 3 year-old daughter would not like losing her princesses, but she forgot them immediately when she found that this boombox was easy enough to work herself....and being pink didn't hurt, either!

We've only used this for CDs and it works every time with no skipping. Sound is a bit tinny, but my daughter doesn't notice and she's just thrilled to be a "big girl" with her own CD player that she can work herself. It is simple, sturdy, and doesn't seem to move around on her bedside table despite the daily use.

Highly recommend.

I wanted a cd player for my infant daughter's room to play music at night. I love the Sony brand, but when I saw they had this in pink I thougth this was perfect. When it arrived my 3 year old son fell in love with it and wanted it for his room. Needless to say that afternoon I ordered the same radio in blue. The sound is very good and the controls are simple. I do not know about the battery life because I leave them both plugged into the wall outlet. This is a great cd player for kids.

My 4-year old daughter LOVES this boombox. It was extremely easy to teach her how to use it. The sound, although not comparable to my Bose player, is quite good. She loves the independence of carrying it around and playing her music when and where she likes. And the fact that its PINK made it even better!

I bought this for my 5 year old daughters birthday and it has been a great present. She listens to her cd's all the time and the radio is very easy to use. I purchased other radios before this and returned them as they were either terrible sound quality, difficult to use etc. This one is perfect. CD's and radio sound very good for a small radio and my daughter can easily work the controls. Great purchase.

we are enjoying this cd player. we only let her listen to one radio station so this gives her many other music options since she is a lover of music.
the only annoying part of the marketing they used for this boombox is they describe it as having a digital am/fm tuner. this could not be farther from the truth. it's just your average turn dial.
the sound is great, far better than the clock radio she was using.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter and she loves it! She is able to work it all by herself in radio and cd modes. It doesn't get very loud. It is a smaller unit and some of her older nursery rhyme cds need to be played on the highest volume. For a child or smaller room, it is great. I would not get this for a teenager that wants loud music!

Very happy with this purchase. First and fore most it is PINK which is a high standard for a little girls room! Bought the Barbie one for Christmas ~ not at all impressed had issue from beginning & returned it. My Daughter plays this radio & cd player everyday & she loves it. Can't gie you info on battery life because I won't buy batteries(way to expensive to get that going) for it ~ we just leave it plugged in on her table in her room! Good quality ~ happy over all!

We bought this radio as a replacement for one that we'd gotten when our 2-yr old was born. The old radio had been skipping terribly. There were so many different colors available so we let her choose, and she chose the pink one. I love it because it sounds great, is super-easy to use, and looks cute in her room. It has a jack in the back that we can plug our iPod into.
My only disappointment is that it doesn't have a repeat button. We used to play cd's all night for her, but we can't with this radio, which is why we plug in the iPod now.

This was a birthday gift for our daughter who just turned 7 and it is very easy to use and the sound quality is good as well. Our daughter absolutely loves it and is always playing her cd's on a daily basis. Highly recommend this for the price as well as the quality!

I bought this item for my granddaughter for her birthday. She loves pink. The sound is ok. The buttons are such that little fingers can't pull the knobs off. So I would recommend this player for a young child.

I got tired of my 7 year old daughter using my Yamaha Stereo system to play her kids bop CDs and scripture verse reviews. So I did some research and found that most were satisfied with the Sony Boombox. It is well constructed for children activity and produces suprisingly good sound and the fact that it comes in pink just made my daughter fall in love with it. I would higly recommend this unit to any parent that is looking for a inexpensive CD player for their young children in the house.

I purchased the Sony CD Boombox for my grand kids to use when they stayed over at my house. They both love choosing their own CD's to play and playing soft music when they stay over helps them to sleep. The bright pink was perfect for the girl's room and the player is very easy to use. The speakers work great and it is very easy to for them to load the CD's in. I would definitely recommend this product over a less expensive children's CD player. This is a much better value. Plus you get a radio tSony CD Boombox with Digital AM/FM Tuner (Pink)oo which I use outside when I am gardening! Great product!

This works great. Some people said that the sound quality was not that great, but i have had no problems. Sounds fine to me.
I use it in my daughters room to play her lullaby's. she is almost 3 and she knows what button to push to start the CD. Others complained it does not have a repeat button, for me that is a good thing as i don't want the music on all night. The color is a little "bubblegum" for my taste, but It fits in a child's room well. I would buy again.

Ok, I love this boombox! Its pink, I just had to have it! Easy to use (2 young kids can work it), good quality & durable (my kids have beaten on it & dropped it & it still works just fine!). Very portable. I use it doing dishes, in my room & I like to use it when I'm in the back bbq-ing & its great for the kids to dance around to! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Great CD Player! We bought for my six year old and she loves it. It's very easy to use and light weight.
The handle makes it very easy for portability.
The only negative thing I have to say is the description says it has a digital radio, but it doesn't.
You have to turn a nob to change the channel and the read out for the station is not digital.
We bought it for the CD player part of it and are very happy with it. The radio does tune and work
just fine also by the way. It's a great product for the price!

We bought this for our nine-year-old daughter and she loves it! I think the price should be a bit lower, however, since there is no bass/treble control and definitely does NOT feature a digital tuner. Portable, easy to use... we have no complaints.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. It is basic, pink, and you can plug in an ipod to the input/output jack. I wasn't looking for a Bose radio, and this has pretty decent sound for the price (It was way cheaper here than in the stores). It's just a great, all-purpose boombox.

This cd player is great. The sound quality is perfect, it looks very pretty and is super easy to use. Highly recommend. Only feature I wish it had was continuous play. But other than that, this is a great product.

This was purchased for our 4 year old. We've been very pleased with the boombox. She can actually work it on her own, which is a nice plus along with the great color (ours is pink). My only complaint is that it has no repeat button. She likes to listen to her CD's at night as she's going to sleep and we don't seem to have the option of repeating the CD.

This is a good first CD player The controls are well marked and easy to move for little fingers. The sound is OK, not great. It looks sturdy and even though it does not have a digital display for the Radio, the Radio tunes easily and sounds good. Plus it is PINK, so what more can you ask for for a girl's firs CD player.

Bought this for my three year-old's birthday. After maybe a couple days she was able to operate it easily, but did break the antenna from being a bit too rough. Her fault though, not Sony's. It's definitely a nice radio for a little girl.

This radio/cd player is on the bigger size, I have it on a nightstand so there is plenty of room. I like that it's pink and it looks great in my daughter's room, the buttons are big and easy to use so a 3 or 4 year old will have no problem using it. The only thing that I do not like is that there is no repeat button for the cd player to play the same cd over and over in repeat mode. I have this in my infant daughter's room and want a cd to keep playing through the night and this one does not. Other than that I think this is a great product, if you don't need the repeat function I would highly recommend this item. I have only had it for a few months but the sound quality is excellent and it's easy to use.

The Sony boombox was an instant hit with my 4 yr old granddaughter. First of all, it's PINK! And, she intuitively knew how to operate the boombox. The Hannah Montana CD was played over and over and over...throughout the 1st morning. The ONLY problem was that her desired volume level was deafening, and the adults had to intervene to save the hearing of the adults, kids and dogs in the household!

She's had the item for 2.5 weeks. No complaints/problems, so far.

I was really suprised of the quality of this product. I got this for my grand daughters birthday and WOW it works really well. She is 5 years old and we all know how rough kids can be. This CD player is very easy to use, with nice big buttons/knobs. I've been a little disappointed by the sound quality, though -- it's not outright bad, just very cheap/mediocre. It's fine for a little background music in my daughter's room, but I wouldn't be satisfied using it to play my own CDs.

I bought one of these for each of my children. It is very easy to use and has great sound, which is the reason I went with Sony and not some off brand. It is extemely basic though, so if you're looking for it to do things like "shuffle" or "repeat" a cd, look elsewhere. These are features I would've liked to see since my toddlers listen to lullaby cds when going to bed and a repeat feature to carry them to dreamland would be nice. As for quality though, this has it.

i was in a hurry to get a boombox for the nursery so i totally forgot to see if it had a "repeat" button. i like to have lullaby playing when my babies are napping. now i have to go in and press the play button every time the cd ends. but overall, you can't go wrong with sony.

Recieved radio and didn't open till it was time to wrap it for my daughters birthday. Noticed it did not have a digital AM/FM tuner. I would have returned it but it was too late. Not a big deal, but the old turn a knob style doesn't really hold the station too well. She likes it and doens't know the difference.

The description for this item states a digital tuner. Um no. It is the old dial tuners. I purchased this for my four year old daughter so we can play her music cds. The sound quality is not especially good and you have to have the volume almost all the way up or it is just too quiet. I suppose it is ok for a four year old but not worth the money. I guess I expected more out of a Sony product than what I had received.

The picture doesn't reflect the size, even though dimensions are given. It was much too big for a child's room in my opinion. Initially, I thought it would be an attractive alternative to a traditional rectangular boom box, but it turned out to much bulkier. I ended up returning it for that reason.

The tuner is just a knob with some channel listings. There is no way to tell what channel you have selected, except by hearing. You can easily bypass the channel you are looking for. Very disappointed. The description clearly states "digital" and it is not. CD player is good. Made in China, but then, what isn't?

I ordered a boombox on July 26th and told that it would arrive by 8/6/2010. When it didn't arrive, I contacted the company. I got an email stating that I would get the boombox by the 10th. Needless to say, the boombox didn't arrive. I got another email stating that I would receive the boombox by 8/16. It didn't arrive by the 17th. I got an email saying that they would give me another ETA when they heard from their shipping dept. I sent them an email saying that if they could not get the boombox to me by Saturday 8/20, to cancel my order. Please don't deal with this company, Ritz, Camera.
